At The Purcell Rooms, our aim is to ensure every guest enjoys a high-quality, relaxing service in a friendly, courteous, and professional environment. To help us achieve this, please take a moment to read our guest guidelines and policies.

Appointments & Cancellations
• Cancellations:
• Less than 24 hours’ notice: 50% charge
• Less than 12 hours’ notice: 75% charge
• Missed appointments (no-show): 100% charge
We will always try to rebook missed slots where possible, but the more notice you give, the better chance we have to offer your appointment to someone on our waiting list.
• Booking Fees:
During peak times, we may request a 50% deposit to secure your booking with regular clients
If it is your first appointment with us we will request payment in full to secure your booking .

Skin Testing Requirements
For your safety and in line with manufacturers’ and insurers’ requirements:
• Skin tests are mandatory before any technical colour or selected beauty treatments.
• You will need a new skin test if:
• It’s your first visit
• You haven’t had a service in 6+ months
• You’ve had a tattoo or permanent make-up since your last test.
Please call us if you’re unsure whether you need a skin test—we’re happy to advise.

Hair Service Guidelines
• Hair Length & Thickness:
We have specific pricing for long and/or thick hair. If your appointment was booked under the wrong category, the final charge may be adjusted accordingly after your service.
• No Wet Cuts Only:
We do not offer wet-cut-only appointments. Blow-drying is an essential part of your cut, allowing us to personalise and refine the final shape.
• Blow-Dry Options:
• Guests receiving a technical service can enjoy a complimentary blast dry
• Discounted blow-dries are available when booked alongside colour or chemical treatments

In-Salon Etiquette
• Mobile Phones:
Please keep your mobile on silent. Use is fine during processing time, but not during cutting services, as this may delay your stylist and other guests.
• Children:
• For health, safety, and atmosphere, we kindly ask that children under 10 do not attend appointments or accompany others in the salon.
• Mothers with new-borns (0–12 months) may access beauty rooms only for essential treatments.
• Clients under 16 receiving beauty services must be accompanied by an adult.
• WiFi Access:
We offer free WiFi for guests who want to work, stream, or browse during their visit.

Wellbeing Practitioners – Please Note
If you are visiting one of our wellbeing practitioners on the second floor, they will provide their own service details and policies directly.

• Concession Discounts (10%) are available for:
• NHS staff
• Armed Forces
• Senior Citizens
• Student Discounts:
• Available Tuesday to Friday, 1–5pm only ( not available on a Saturday)
• Gifting & Savings:
• Gift Cards available for all services
• Service Packages available for regular savings Buy 3 facials or massage and receive the fourth service free)
